Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a dynamic and highly organized Recording Studio Manager to lead our state-of-the-art facility in St. Catharines, Ontario. This is a pivotal full-time role for an individual who is not only passionate about music and audio production but also possesses exceptional leadership and business acumen. As our Studio Manager, you will be the heart of our operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all studio activities, from client bookings and equipment maintenance to staff supervision and strategic growth initiatives.

Your primary mission will be to cultivate a thriving, creative environment where artists, producers, and engineers can achieve their best work. This involves overseeing daily operations, managing schedules, and fostering strong relationships with our diverse clientele. You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of audio quality and client service, ensuring every project, big or small, receives meticulous attention and professional execution. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations of the recording studio, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage the studio's booking calendar, scheduling sessions, and coordinating with clients and engineers.
  • Supervise and mentor studio staff, including sound engineers and assistants, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain all recording equipment, ensuring optimal functionality, cleanliness, and readiness for sessions.
  • Manage studio budgets, invoicing, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Procure and manage studio supplies, software licenses, and equipment upgrades as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational regulations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for studio growth, service expansion, and technological advancement.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in studio management or a similar leadership role within the music or media production industry.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, financial operations, and client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of recording studio workflows, equipment, and software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live).
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with office software and booking systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by studio schedules.
