Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in planning and implementing daily educational and recreational activities.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment conducive to child development.
- Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and napping.
- Observe and accurately document children's development, behaviour, and progress under the guidance of lead educators.
- Foster positive and respectful relationships with children, their families, and colleagues.
- Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with classroom setup, tidying, and preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations and policies.
- Engage children in educational, age-appropriate play and learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children's daily activities and progress.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for working with young children (ages 0-5).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing, child-centred approach.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong, proactive work ethic.
- Basic understanding of child development principles or a strong willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- A Level 1 or Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 1/2 Diploma).
- Previous volunteer or paid work experience with children in any setting (e.g., babysitting, youth groups, school placements).
- Paediatric First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
