Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team in Auburn, Alabama. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure using leading providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for various applications, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible to provision and configure environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent outages.
- Collaborate with software development teams to optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration with platform services.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into our infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems and respond to incidents.
- Document system architecture, processes, and operational procedures to maintain knowledge transfer and consistency.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Platform, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated expertise in CI/CD pipeline implementation and management (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals.
- Strong version control skills with Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Knowledge of database administration (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with event streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka).
