As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be at the forefront of managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex cloud ecosystems, primarily within AWS, Azure, or GCP. Your expertise will be vital in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, deploying CI/CD pipelines, and continuously improving our operational processes. You will collaborate closely with development, security, and architecture teams to design scalable solutions and maintain high availability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates).
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical production systems.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, and network issues in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure secure and efficient operations.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through effective management and scaling strategies.
- Document operational procedures, system configurations, and incident response plans.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices, recommending improvements and innovations.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud Engineer).
