Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Visitor Experience Officer to join our vibrant team in Ingonane, Pemba. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all visitors upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Provide accurate, detailed information about our services, facilities, events, and local attractions.
  • Actively listen to visitor inquiries and concerns, providing timely and effective solutions with empathy and patience.
  • Manage visitor flow, check-ins, and appointments efficiently, ensuring a smooth and organized experience.
  • Handle ticketing, reservations, and sales transactions accurately using established systems.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of all operational procedures, safety guidelines, and emergency protocols.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the visitor experience and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of promotional materials and informational displays.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive working environment.
  • Ensure the reception and visitor areas are consistently tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary information.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1.5 years (18 months) of proven experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese (knowledge of local languages like Emakhuwa is a strong advantage).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle diverse visitor needs and resolve issues professionally.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite, email, calendar management).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for assisting people.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and courteous under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM software or visitor management systems.
  • Previous experience in a cultural institution, museum, or similar visitor-focused environment.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
