Career.zycto is actively seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as an Entry Level Distribution Center Driver in Fabreville, Laval. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start a career in transportation and logistics, even without prior commercial driving experience. As a Distribution Center Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods from our distribution center to various local destinations within the Laval and Greater Montreal area. Your daily tasks will involve more than just driving; you’ll play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring that products are delivered accurately and on schedule. This includes preparing your vehicle for routes, verifying load contents, navigating established routes, and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. You will also interact with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and occasionally with customers at delivery points, making strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, light trucks) for local deliveries and pickups within specified routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring secure and accurate handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify product counts against manifests and delivery orders.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times.
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, particularly during slower delivery periods.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license in Quebec with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic map reading and navigation abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a driving role (personal or professional) is an asset.
