Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and tools for alerts, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of security events, logs, and network traffic to identify signs of compromise.
- Perform threat hunting activities across our network and endpoints to proactively detect hidden threats.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive threat intelligence, tracking attacker methodologies, tools, and tactics.
- Contribute to the enhancement of security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Generate detailed reports on security incidents, threats, and mitigation strategies for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to implement security controls and best practices.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS)
- Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems
- Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
- Solid knowledge of common attack vectors and defense strategies
- Familiarity with incident response methodologies (e.g., NIST, SANS)
- Ability to analyze malware and understand forensic artifacts
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with cloud security principles (Azure, AWS, GCP)
