As a Music Studio Helper, you will be an integral part of the studio’s daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist sound engineers and producers with session setup and breakdown, including microphone placement, cable management, and instrument preparation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all studio spaces, including control rooms, live rooms, and communal areas.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly stored, inventoried, and in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as running errands, organizing files, and managing studio supplies.
  • Prepare refreshments and ensure a comfortable environment for clients and staff during recording sessions.
  • Observe and learn from experienced professionals during recording, mixing, and mastering sessions.
  • Provide support for live stream setups and podcast productions as needed.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting of audio equipment under supervision.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Profound passion for music and the music production industry.
  • Exceptional reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and pay close attention to detail.
  • Proactive and eager to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with various types of audio equipment (microphones, cables, interfaces, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a music production, audio engineering, or related program.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or support role.
  • Ability to lift and move moderately heavy equipment (up to 25 lbs).
