Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and configure version control systems (e.g., Git) and ensure branch management strategies are effectively applied.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex build failures, integration issues, and deployment problems efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate new features and services into the CI/CD workflow.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using various languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to optimize build processes.
  • Monitor build health, performance, and stability, implementing improvements to reduce build times and enhance reliability.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve our build and release infrastructure.
  • Ensure build environments are consistent, reproducible, and secure.
  • Document build configurations, processes, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, TeamCity).
  • Strong scripting skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Extensive experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket for version control.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Experience with build tools for various platforms/languages (e.g., Maven, Gradle, npm, .NET build tools).
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or specific CI/CD tools.
