Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on applications, networks, and systems.
  • Analyze security vulnerabilities, determine their severity, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of identified security issues.
  • Generate detailed reports on vulnerability findings, risk assessments, and remediation progress for various stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to inform and improve defense strategies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in incident response activities as required, providing expert analysis on potential exploitation vectors.
  • Support security awareness training initiatives by providing insights on common vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Vulnerability Analyst or similar cybersecurity role.
  • Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25).
  • Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS) and web application scanners (e.g., Burp Suite).
  • Solid knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and web application architectures.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
