As a Mobile QA Engineer, you will be deeply embedded in the development lifecycle, from concept to launch, contributing significantly to the quality and reliability of our products. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for iOS and Android mobile applications.
  • Perform comprehensive functional, regression, performance, and usability testing across various devices and operating systems.
  • Identify, document, track, and prioritize bugs and defects using appropriate bug tracking systems.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of mobile test automation frameworks and scripts.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, providing valuable QA insights.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hard-to-find defects and edge cases.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, defect status, and overall product quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies, testing tools, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Mobile QA Engineer or similar role, specifically testing native iOS and Android applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile operating systems, device fragmentation, and mobile app architecture.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with mobile test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of performance testing and security testing for mobile applications.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
