As a Mobile QA Engineer, you will be deeply embedded in the development lifecycle, from concept to launch, contributing significantly to the quality and reliability of our products. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Perform comprehensive functional, regression, performance, and usability testing across various devices and operating systems.
- Identify, document, track, and prioritize bugs and defects using appropriate bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of mobile test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, providing valuable QA insights.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hard-to-find defects and edge cases.
- Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, defect status, and overall product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies, testing tools, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Mobile QA Engineer or similar role, specifically testing native iOS and Android applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile operating systems, device fragmentation, and mobile app architecture.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with mobile test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
