As a Driller Assistant, you will play a crucial supporting role to experienced Drillers, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of drilling equipment for a variety of tasks, including site investigation, piling, and geotechnical works. Your day will be dynamic, involving hands-on support, equipment maintenance, and strict adherence to health and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead drillers with setting up, operating, and dismantling drilling rigs and associated equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on drilling machinery.
  • Handle, transport, and prepare drilling rods, casings, and other materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work site, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored safely.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor drilling operations, noting and reporting any anomalies or potential hazards.
  • Support core recovery procedures and sample collection as per project specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.

  • Valid CSCS Card.

  • Full UK Driving License.
  • First Aid certification.
