Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques safely.
- Help residents during meal times, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration, assisting with feeding as required.
- Monitor residents' health status, noting and reporting any changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to senior staff.
- Engage residents in social activities, conversations, and therapeutic exercises to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for residents, adhering to infection control policies.
- Accurately document care provided, observations, and any incidents according to established procedures.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, their families, and the wider care team.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care environment (e.g., care home, hospital, domiciliary care).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Valid First Aid certificate.
- Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and mental capacity act.
- Experience working with individuals living with dementia.
