Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
  • Execute repairs, overhauls, and new installations of production equipment and facility systems.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, including parts used and hours logged.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with production teams to minimize machinery downtime and optimize operational flow.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency breakdowns and urgent repair requests.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and engineering manuals.
  • Competent in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of PLC systems and control circuits.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and understanding of relevant regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Forklift license or other relevant industrial equipment certifications.
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
