Career.zycto is excited to announce an immediate opening for a dedicated and safety-conscious Part-Time Charter Bus Driver based in the picturesque Meadow Lakes area of Wasilla. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing exceptional service and possesses a strong commitment to passenger safety and comfort. As a Charter Bus Driver with Career.zycto, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for transporting diverse groups – including school groups, corporate clients, sports teams, and tourists – to various destinations within Alaska, primarily in the Mat-Su Valley and surrounding regions. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate charter buses over varying routes, adhering to schedules and timelines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all safety components are in working order.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatch, and management.
- Manage passenger inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including trip logs, inspection reports, and incident reports.
- Be available for varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as charter schedules dictate.
Required Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clean driving record for the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and ongoing random drug/alcohol screenings.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and read maps effectively.
- Physical ability to perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload luggage, and assist passengers.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience driving motor coaches or large passenger vehicles.
- Familiarity with the Mat-Su Valley and Alaska road conditions.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with diverse groups and ages.
