Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper Receiver to join our bustling operations in Hay River, Northwest Territories. This full-time position is integral to the smooth flow of our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing goods are handled with the utmost precision and care. As a Shipper Receiver, you will be the linchpin in our warehouse, responsible for a wide array of tasks that keep our inventory accurate, our deliveries on schedule, and our customers satisfied.
Your day-to-day will involve meticulously verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, identifying and documenting any discrepancies, and safely unloading materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. You’ll be instrumental in organizing and stocking received goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy retrieval. For outgoing shipments, you will be responsible for picking and packing orders, preparing them for dispatch, and coordinating with carriers for timely pick-ups. This includes creating shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation, all while adhering to strict safety protocols and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damages against purchase orders or other records.
- Verify quantities, item numbers, and descriptions of materials; report discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, store, and retrieve goods.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space and ensuring accessibility.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Generate shipping labels, manifests, bills of lading, and other required documentation for outbound freight.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and couriers for timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and management regarding inventory and shipping statuses.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with inventory management software or WMS.
