Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled installation, maintenance, and repair services for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend proactive maintenance or repairs.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters.
- Educate clients on proper system operation, energy efficiency tips, and recommended maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of all service activities, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while working in various environments.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building lasting relationships.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and technologies.
- Be available for on-call rotation as needed for emergency service requests.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience as an HVAC Technician.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (Type I, II, III).
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC electrical and mechanical components.
- Strong understanding of HVAC system design, installation, and operation principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions and environments.
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- NATE certification (North American Technician Excellence).
- Associate’s degree or vocational training certificate in HVAC technology.
- Experience with smart home technologies and Wi-Fi enabled thermostats.
- Familiarity with various HVAC brands and models (e.g., Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem).
- Experience in light commercial HVAC service.
