Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Sync Licensing Assistant to join our vibrant team in Mississauga, Ontario. Your primary responsibilities will involve a blend of administrative tasks, meticulous database management, and active assistance with the preparation and execution of licensing agreements. You will be instrumental in maintaining excellent communication channels with both internal teams and external partners, including music supervisors, producers, and artists. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sync Licensing team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing digital files.
  • Maintain and update our music licensing database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all track metadata, rights information, and contact details.
  • Support the preparation of licensing agreements, quotes, and invoices, ensuring all documentation adheres to company standards and legal requirements.
  • Conduct research to identify potential licensing opportunities, emerging artists, and new media projects across film, TV, advertising, and video games.
  • Communicate effectively with artists, publishers, and labels to gather necessary assets and clearances for synchronization requests.
  • Track the status of licensing requests and projects, providing regular updates to the team and assisting with follow-ups.
  • Contribute to the creation of music pitches and presentations for clients, showcasing relevant tracks from our catalog.
  • Assist with copyright registration and protection processes as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A genuine passion for music and an understanding of various genres.
