Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Nurse for a critical night shift position within a reputable healthcare facility in the Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the nursing team during the night shift, ensuring optimal patient care delivery.
- Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, maintaining accurate records and smooth transitions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, meticulously following all protocols and safety standards.
- Assess patient conditions, develop, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate intervention and coordination.
- Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of all patient care activities, observations, and interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior nursing staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Maintain strict compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, state nursing board regulations).

Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a charge nurse or supervisory role.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Proven strong leadership, organizational, and delegation abilities.
- Exceptional critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team during night hours.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse populations.
