Job Description
Are you a visionary 2D animation creator with a passion for bringing stories to life through dynamic visuals? National Foods Limited, a giant in Zimbabwe’s food manufacturing sector, is seeking a talented and highly motivated Remote 2D Animation Creator to join our innovative digital content team. While our operational presence extends across Zimbabwe, this is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere within Mashonaland East Province, and contribute to a nationally recognized brand from the comfort of your home or preferred workspace.
In this exciting role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality 2D animated content for a diverse range of purposes. From engaging social media campaigns and captivating advertising spots that highlight our delicious products, to informative explainer videos about our processes, and interactive internal training modules for our staff, your animations will play a crucial part in communicating our brand message, product benefits, and corporate values. You will collaborate closely with our marketing, brand management, human resources, and corporate communications teams, transforming complex ideas and strategic objectives into accessible and visually appealing animated narratives. We are looking for someone who can not only execute animations flawlessly but also contribute creatively to initial concepts, storyboarding, and script development, ensuring every project aligns with our strong brand identity and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and animate high-quality 2D characters, environments, and motion graphics.
- Develop engaging storyboards and animatics that effectively communicate narrative flow and visual concepts.
- Collaborate with marketing, brand, and HR teams to understand project requirements and translate ideas into compelling animated content.
- Ensure all animated content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual style.
- Edit and synchronize animation with sound effects, voiceovers, and music.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high production standards.
- Provide creative input and recommendations during all phases of production, from ideation to final delivery.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software, and animation techniques to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Moho Pro, OpenToonz).
- Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and storytelling.
- Excellent character design and background creation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating diverse 2D animation projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related creative field.
- Experience with basic video editing and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
