Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Remote Procurement Coordinator to join our dynamic supply chain team. Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring performance and compliance.
- Source new suppliers, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and establish favourable terms and conditions.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including discrepancies in orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, databases, and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role (2+ years).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or working towards it.
- Experience with international procurement and logistics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or engineering industry supply chains.
