Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full program lifecycle for multiple complex AI/ML projects, from ideation and planning to execution, deployment, and post-launch optimization.
- Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in close collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, meticulously tracking progress and managing dependencies.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans and ensuring transparent communication to stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and foster strong collaboration across diverse cross-functional teams, including data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers.
- Implement and advocate for best practices in the AI/ML development lifecycle, MLOps, and agile methodologies.
- Monitor project performance using relevant KPIs, providing regular, detailed reports on program status, achievements, and challenges to senior leadership.
- Ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value, translating complex technical concepts into clear business implications.
- Drive continuous improvement in program management processes, tools, and methodologies specifically tailored for AI initiatives.
- Champion a culture of innovation, learning, and accountability within the AI development teams.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (5+ years) in program or project management, with a significant focus on AI/ML projects.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, methodologies, and the entire development lifecycle, from research to deployment.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and agile tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience in risk management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional team coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant project management certifications.
