Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance, identifying and correcting bottlenecks.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and user experience.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices and architectural patterns.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
- Contribute to the entire application lifecycle, from concept to deployment and post-launch support.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Experience with modern Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation).
- Knowledge of common design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency with version control tools, particularly Git.
- Demonstrable experience with UI/UX principles and best practices for Android.
- Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Dagger Hilt or other dependency injection frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso) and test-driven development (TDD).
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Published one or more Android apps to the Google Play Store.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
