Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend) to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance, identifying and correcting bottlenecks.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and user experience.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices and architectural patterns.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
  • Contribute to the entire application lifecycle, from concept to deployment and post-launch support.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
  • Deep understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Experience with modern Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation).
  • Knowledge of common design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Proficiency with version control tools, particularly Git.
  • Demonstrable experience with UI/UX principles and best practices for Android.
  • Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Dagger Hilt or other dependency injection frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso) and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose.
  • Published one or more Android apps to the Google Play Store.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
