Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Entry Level Audio Engineer to join our vibrant team in Downtown Brandon. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual with foundational knowledge in audio production and a burning desire to kickstart their career in a professional studio environment. As an integral part of our creative workflow, you will support senior engineers across various projects, ranging from music production and post-production to podcast recording and live sound events. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior audio engineers with studio setup, microphone placement, and recording sessions.
- Operate and maintain a variety of audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, and outboard gear.
- Perform basic audio editing, noise reduction, and sound cleanup under supervision.
- Support live sound events, including setup, soundcheck, and basic troubleshooting.
- Manage and organize audio files and project archives efficiently.
- Ensure the studio environment is clean, organized, and ready for use at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with artists, producers, and other team members to achieve project goals.
- Continuously learn new techniques and stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of audio theory, acoustics, and signal flow.
- Proficiency with at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Ableton Live.
- Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or certificate in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of MIDI sequencing and synthesis.
- Experience with various microphone types and recording techniques.
