Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on automated systems, machinery, and control equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in complex automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
- Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, sensors, actuators, motors, and control devices with precision and efficiency.
- Assist with the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new automation equipment and system upgrades.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and operational manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system configurations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to identify and implement process improvements and system optimizations.
- Provide technical support and training to operations staff on automated equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, etc.) and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, including HMIs and SCADA applications.
- Solid electrical and mechanical aptitude, capable of diagnosing and repairing complex machinery.
- Experience with servo motors, drives, and robotic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for technical communication and documentation.
- A relevant technical qualification (e.g., Diploma, Apprenticeship, or Degree) in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
