Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients using accounting software.
  • Perform daily transactional bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding financial matters and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies and irregularities in financial records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage).
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
  • Experience working with diverse client portfolios across various industries.
