Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials required.
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry units according to design and building codes.
- Mix mortar, grout, and concrete to specified consistencies.
- Cut and trim masonry units to fit around openings or at corners, using hand or power tools.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including trowels, hammers, chisels, levels, and power saws.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for masonry work, ensuring proper adhesion.
- Inspect finished masonry work for quality, alignment, and adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals and team members to ensure project completion.
