Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative concepts for broadcast programming, including news, entertainment, and documentary segments.
- Manage all stages of production, from pre-production planning and scriptwriting to filming, editing, and post-production.
- Direct and coordinate production teams, including camera operators, editors, sound engineers, and on-screen talent.
- Oversee production budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial parameters.
- Ensure all broadcast content meets legal and ethical standards, as well as internal quality guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, and technical departments to align content with overall station strategy.
- Identify and source necessary resources, including equipment, locations, and personnel, for various productions.
- Conduct research, interviews, and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility of all broadcast material.
- Act as a primary point of contact for external partners, guests, and agencies involved in productions.
- Continuously monitor broadcast trends and competitor activities to propose innovative content ideas.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in broadcast production or a related media field.
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex production projects from start to finish.
- Proficiency with industry-standard production software and equipment (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, camera systems, editing suites).
- Strong understanding of broadcast regulations, ethical guidelines, and journalistic principles.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent storytelling abilities with a keen eye for visual composition and audio quality.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Television Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with live broadcast production and remote production workflows.
- Knowledge of local Mozambican culture, current events, and audience preferences.
