Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and company policy.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as required.
- Perform light household duties, ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health, behaviour, or well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and other relevant observations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a caregiving role (minimum 12 months).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of first aid and emergency procedures.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse client groups.
- Right to work in the UK (or eligible for visa sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in the UK care sector.
- Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a car.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
