Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload cargo from trucks, containers, and other vehicles using appropriate manual and equipment-assisted techniques.
- Sort, organise, and stack freight in designated warehouse areas according to established procedures for optimal space utilisation.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment efficiently and safely, following all training and safety guidelines.
- Verify cargo against shipping documents, noting any discrepancies or damages, and report them promptly to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, operational policies, and industry best practices to maintain a secure working environment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment within the warehouse at all times.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts, stock rotation, and general warehouse duties as required to support team operations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth and timely cargo flow.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items regularly (up to 25kg) with proper technique.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for a demanding, active role.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling and documentation.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions diligently and work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and a willingness to learn and adhere to specific protocols.
