Job Description

Are you a highly vigilant and detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for security? Career.zycto is actively seeking dedicated CCTV Operators to join our clients’ security teams in Clydebank, Glasgow, for immediate start positions. This is a critical role at the forefront of maintaining safety and security within various premises. As a CCTV Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, identifying potential threats, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your ability to concentrate for extended periods, coupled with excellent communication skills, will be vital in ensuring a secure environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor CCTV surveillance systems with a high degree of vigilance and attention to detail.
  • Proactively identify and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or potential hazards.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken accurately and concisely in logbooks and reports.
  • Liaise effectively with on-site security personnel, management, and emergency services as required.
  • Adhere strictly to data protection regulations (GDPR) and company policies regarding recorded footage.
  • Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Assist in the review and retrieval of CCTV footage for investigation purposes.
  • Maintain a professional and calm demeanor, especially during high-pressure situations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all occupants and visitors.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by management.

Required Skills

  • Valid SIA Licence (CCTV Public Space Surveillance or Door Supervisor with CCTV endorsement)
  • Proven experience in CCTV operations and monitoring systems
  • Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure
  • A solid understanding of security protocols and emergency procedures
  • Reliability and excellent timekeeping

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a security control room environment
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Knowledge of relevant security legislation and codes of practice
  • Experience with advanced CCTV software and analytics systems
