Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and dedicated Child Caregiver to join a loving family in Pierrefonds, Montreal. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and compassionate care for children, fostering their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
  • Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, games, and outdoor play.
  • Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks for children, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, and bedtime.
  • Supervise children during playtime, outings, and educational activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Assist with homework and school projects, encouraging a love for learning.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized play area and children's rooms.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
  • Manage children's schedules, including school, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
  • Administer basic first aid if necessary and adhere to health and safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in childcare, ideally with references.
  • Strong understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (French is an asset).
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
  • Ability to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Clean criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • Eligible for visa sponsorship for Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal education or certification in Early Childhood Education, Nannying, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children with special needs.
  • Ability to drive with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
