Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, feeding, and hygiene, always maintaining their dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and accurately document observations, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Support patients with their nutritional needs, assisting with meals and drinks, and recording fluid intake and output as required.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, fostering a reassuring and empathetic atmosphere.
- Assist qualified healthcare professionals with basic clinical procedures and examinations under direct supervision.
- Accurately complete patient care records and documentation in line with organisational guidelines.
- Facilitate patient comfort and ensure their needs are met, responding to call bells and requests in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
