Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load, transport, and unload various goods and packages to designated locations within Riverdale, Whitehorse, and surrounding areas.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules, adapting to unforeseen circumstances while maintaining delivery timelines.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, ensuring accurate delivery and collection of signatures when required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, processing necessary paperwork and electronic documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as sorting, organizing, and preparing shipments for dispatch as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs comfortably and repeatedly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic geographical knowledge of Whitehorse and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with using GPS navigation systems.
