Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures and solutions.
- Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure and applications across major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering and operations teams.
- Ensure cloud security best practices, compliance, and governance are integrated into all designs and operations.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and manage costs effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and create architectural blueprints.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and recommend their adoption where beneficial.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and standards.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud environment issues and provide expert resolution and preventative measures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar senior cloud engineering/architecture role.
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity and access management.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
- Familiarity with database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB), in a cloud context.
- Experience with microservices architecture design and implementation.
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
