Job Description

Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly motivated and intellectually curious Entry-Level Cloud Engineer to join our growing team in Downtown Fort Dodge. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to dive into the world of cloud computing and build a foundational career in a fast-paced technology environment. As an Entry-Level Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers and architects, assisting in the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and robust cloud infrastructure solutions across leading platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Your role will involve contributing to various stages of the cloud lifecycle, from initial setup and configuration to ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and optimization. You’ll gain hands-on experience with core cloud services, virtual machines, networking, storage, and database solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Monitor cloud resource utilization, performance, and security, reporting any anomalies or issues.
  • Participate in the deployment and configuration of cloud services and applications.
  • Provide support for cloud-related operational tasks, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the automation of cloud provisioning and deployment processes using scripting languages.
  • Document cloud configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Learn and adhere to industry best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployment and functionality.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Digital Leader).
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Prior internship or project experience in an IT or cloud-related role.
