Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cloud Systems Administrator to join our growing team in Garthamlock, Glasgow. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the deployment, management, and optimization of our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across various platforms, primarily focusing on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Monitor system performance, security, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
- Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are robust and regularly tested.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud resources and streamline workflows.
- Provide technical support and guidance, troubleshooting complex cloud-related problems.
- Manage network configurations, access controls, and security policies within cloud environments.
- Document system configurations, processes, and operational procedures thoroughly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cloud Systems Administrator or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
