Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough compliance reviews and audits, identifying potential areas of risk and non-compliance across client operations.
- Monitor and analyze new and updated regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on client operations and internal policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls in alignment with industry best practices.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and presentations for management, outlining findings, recommendations, and actionable plans.
- Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams and clients on compliance-related matters and significant regulatory changes.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of compliance breaches, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are identified and taken.
- Manage and track regulatory filings and submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with legal, risk management, and operational teams to integrate compliance requirements into business processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all compliance activities, records, and communications.
- Participate in external audits and regulatory examinations as required, providing necessary documentation and support.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a compliance, audit, or regulatory role.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry regulations (e.g., financial services, data privacy, anti-money laundering, consumer protection).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (bilingualism is highly preferred).
- Proficiency in compliance management software and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Strong ethical compass and an unwavering commitment to integrity and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional compliance certification (e.g., CAMS, CCEP, CRISC).
