Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive job evaluations and market pricing to establish competitive salary structures.
- Participate in salary surveys and analyze results to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Assist in the design, development, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, and incentive plans.
- Prepare compensation reports, presentations, and analyses for management and HR business partners.
- Provide guidance and support to HR and management on compensation policies, practices, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant compensation laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain compensation tools, systems, and databases.
- Support the annual compensation review process, including merit increases and bonus payouts.
- Educate employees and managers on compensation philosophy and programs.
- Research and analyze compensation trends and best practices to recommend continuous improvements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Compensation Analyst or in a similar analytical HR role.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, theories, and practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or in progress.
- Experience with global compensation practices and international mobility.
- Familiarity with Canadian employment law and compensation regulations.
