Key Responsibilities
- Conduct confidential interviews with individuals who have tested positive for infectious diseases to identify close contacts.
- Communicate with identified close contacts to provide critical public health information, explain isolation or quarantine procedures, and monitor symptoms.
- Provide accurate and culturally sensitive information regarding disease prevention, transmission, and available resources.
- Document all information accurately and completely into designated databases, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Follow established scripts, policies, and procedures for communication, data collection, and data security.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of public health professionals and supervisors.
- Address concerns and provide support to individuals, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public health guidelines and protocols.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA).
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
