Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Vendor Manager to join our growing team in Bayview Village, Toronto. This is a critical role that will drive the strategic management of our vendor relationships, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and service quality across our diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and executing vendor strategies, negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and fostering strong, collaborative partnerships. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in procurement and supply chain management. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive vendor management strategies aligning with company objectives.
  • Negotiate, review, and manage vendor contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions, and compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with new suppliers, conducting due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure vendor alignment.
  • Resolve vendor disputes and performance issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in vendor processes and relationships.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential new vendors and procurement best practices.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPPB) is an asset.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with the Toronto vendor market.
