Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal/termination.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, providing proactive solutions to protect organisational interests.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Sales, Project Management) to ensure contractual terms align with business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual inquiries and disputes, facilitating resolution.
- Maintain a comprehensive and organised contract database, ensuring accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval.
- Monitor contract performance, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions by all parties involved.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on contractual matters to senior management and project teams.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, clients, and partners to achieve favourable terms and conditions.
- Develop and implement contract management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager or in a similar role (minimum 5 years).
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and legal terminology.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret complex legal documents and translate them into actionable business insights.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and meet deadlines.
