Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and empathetic Corporate Benefits Administrator to join our human resources team in Brampton, Ontario. This pivotal role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs, ensuring they are managed effectively, compliantly, and in alignment with our company’s commitment to employee well-being. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other ancillary benefits.

As a Corporate Benefits Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting our workforce by providing clear, accurate, and timely information about their benefits. You will manage enrollment processes, assist with claims resolution, and ensure data integrity across all benefits platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer all employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Process new hires, changes, and terminations in benefits systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing clear and concise information and resolving issues promptly.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment periods, including communication, system configuration, and employee education.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of provincial and federal benefits regulations (e.g., ESA, income tax implications) to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and external brokers/vendors to review and evaluate existing benefit programs.
  • Prepare and distribute benefits communications, summaries, and required legal notices.
  • Manage leave of absence requests (e.g., STD, LTD, WSIB, parental leave) in coordination with payroll and HR.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new benefits programs or enhancements.
  • Conduct benefits orientations for new employees and provide ongoing training as needed.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration software (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, ADP).
  • Strong understanding of Canadian benefits legislation and best practices, particularly in Ontario.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation or working towards it.
  • Experience with vendor management and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with group retirement plan administration.
