Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Monitor security access, analyze security logs, and respond to security incidents promptly.
- Implement, configure, and manage security solutions including firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, and antivirus systems.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Perform ethical hacking to identify and address system weaknesses before exploitation.
- Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, awareness, and phishing prevention.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies.
- Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and development teams to embed security into systems design and deployment.
- Provide expert recommendations to enhance the overall security posture and risk management.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in network security principles (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
- Strong understanding of common security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Practical experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Kali Linux, Metasploit).
- In-depth knowledge of operating system security (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
