This is a full-time, week-shift position where you will play a vital role in our warehouse and distribution team. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck) safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper documentation and secure placement of goods.
- Stack and retrieve products and materials in designated storage areas, optimizing space utilization.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting, scanning, and organizing stock.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as provincial regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator certification (e.g., Propane, Electric Counterbalance, Reach Truck).
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding and adherence to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and inventory.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Experience operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is considered a strong asset.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
