Job Description

The Store Clerk is a vital front-line representative, responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for every customer. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent, friendly service at all times.
  • Assist customers with product location, information, and purchasing decisions.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments, accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash and maintain a balanced till, following all company policies and procedures.
  • Stock shelves, arrange merchandise displays, and ensure products are clearly priced.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, dusting, and tidying display areas.
  • Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory shipments.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Learn about products and promotions to effectively inform customers.
  • Adhere to all safety and security procedures.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a positive and friendly demeanor.
  • Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
