As a Delivery Driver with Career.zycto, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting a variety of items from our local hub to destinations across Tang Hall and the wider York area. This role requires excellent time management skills, a keen eye for detail to ensure correct deliveries, and a friendly demeanor for positive customer interactions. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver items to customers within Tang Hall, York, and surrounding areas.
- Follow designated routes and schedules, adapting as necessary to traffic or delivery issues.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto positively.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
- Manage time effectively to complete all deliveries within set timeframes.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as required.
- Keep company vehicles clean and presentable.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving licence (Category B minimum).
- Minimum 6 months of professional driving or delivery experience.
- Clean driving record (minimal points, no major endorsements).
- Excellent knowledge of local geography and street navigation in York.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with handheld delivery devices or logistics software.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- First-aid certification.
