Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations within Burke Mountain, Coquitlam, and surrounding areas.
- Follow predetermined routes, schedules, and traffic laws to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload packages and ensure their security and integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logging mileage, fuel, and delivery status.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and local traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates or delays.
- Handle cash or electronic payments when required, and process necessary paperwork.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 6 months of professional driving experience.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Coquitlam and the Lower Mainland.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Proof of legal eligibility to work in Canada or willingness to undergo visa sponsorship process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing delivery role.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation applications.
