Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent growth strategies from our Bulawayo office. This pivotal role requires an experienced professional who can design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive learning programs that align with our strategic objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. As the Director, you will be instrumental in identifying skill gaps, developing innovative training solutions, and ensuring our workforce is equipped with the knowledge and capabilities to excel in a rapidly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's business goals and talent objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and compliance modules.
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement across all departments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all L&D initiatives, utilizing data and analytics to measure ROI and continuously refine programs.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of L&D specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Research and implement innovative learning technologies and methodologies, including e-learning platforms, blended learning approaches, and gamification.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners to integrate L&D initiatives into broader talent management and succession planning efforts.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth throughout the organization.
Required Skills
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or directorial role.
- Demonstrated expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and program evaluation methodologies.
- Proven ability to develop and implement impactful L&D strategies across diverse organizational levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience coaching and developing L&D professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure program effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MBA, M.A. in Organizational Psychology/HRD).
- Professional certifications such as CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or ATD credentials.
- Experience working in a professional services or consultancy environment.
