Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent strategy in Plumtree, Matabeleland South Province. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development programs that align with our strategic objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance across the organization. This position calls for a strategic leader who can identify current and future skill gaps, develop innovative learning solutions, and measure the effectiveness of L&D initiatives to ensure a measurable impact on employee engagement, productivity, and retention. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, department heads, and HR business partners to understand specific business needs and translate them into actionable development plans. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and cutting-edge learning technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with organizational goals and future workforce needs.
  • Design, implement, and manage a wide range of learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, compliance training, and professional development courses.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of L&D professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all L&D programs through robust metrics and reporting, demonstrating ROI and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to maximize impact.
  • Research and integrate innovative learning technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the learning experience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including HR, operations, and executive leadership, to identify training needs and tailor solutions.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, growth, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of training materials, job aids, and other learning resources.
  • Ensure all L&D initiatives comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
